If you’re looking for a flooring installation, whether in Fort Worth or any other part of the country, think about a little taste of the exotic with a Berber carpet, Dallas,
By the way, it’s also worth mentioning that also goes for a hardwood flooring installation; say bye-bye to plain wood floors and hello to knots, raised grains and patterns like herringbone.
What is the Berber Rug?
Berber refers to the type of weaving, not the color, done by the Berber tribes of North Africa.
Many probably know it as the loop, beige-with-flecks-of--brown-or-gray flooring; by the way, that’s another hot trend, the muted tones but, like anything, things have changed.
1. Versatile. Once thought of mainly for family rooms or home offices, Berbers are now used in all areas of the home. We see them in living and dining rooms, bedrooms, on stairs and around railings.
There’s also a wide assortment of colors and patterns, thanks to technology. Of note: One of those patterns is florals, another popular trend.
2. Budget-friendly. Berbers are created from the reasonably-priced olefin fiber, and it is highly durable.
3. Durable. One of the things people love is that it’s relatively easy to wipe. Because it’s a loop pattern, spills and stains tend to stay on the surface, at least for a while, so if you get to them quickly enough, you can blot them away.
Although it’s not easy to snag a Berber, it can happen if you move heavy furniture on it, but a snag doesn’t automatically mean unraveling like, say, a sweater, where one tug can destroy it.
Don’t worry, Dallas pet lovers! Claws are highly unlikely to catch and cause a problem, unless you have a cat who decides to use your carpet installation as a scratching post or board.
Just be careful when you vacuum, and you might want to turn off the beater bars; if there’s a snag, it could get stuck in the power head, and pull hard enough to cause damage.
